Men over 40  need to eat differently to get those six pack abs then younger men. Reason number one it is harder to get defined abs over the age of 40 is your testosterone decreases in man after the age of 30 by one percent according to So it is much more important you know what to eat to raise your testosterone level. Reason number two it’s harder to get defined abs when you are over the age of 40 is your metabolism is slower than younger guys. You need to adjust your calorie intake to take this into account. Diets that are designed for younger males aren’t going to take this into account normally. I understand breaking old habits are hard.

Here a few tips towards choosing the right foods to raise your testosterone.

Haveing all your meals prepared so they are ready to go. This takes a lot of time at first but once you get used to it it isn’t that bad. Plus it saves you time when you are in a hurry. Some people prefer to even cook all their meals and put them in Tupperware.

Any lean meat is a good source of protein. Some of the meats have more than others but as long as its lean your doing good. You can eat any fish you want they are all high in protein and low in sugar and carbohydrates. Salmon is going to be one of your better fish to eat. It is high in protein and also high in omega 3. One of the best lean meats you can eat is boneless skinless chicken breast. You can eat as much of this as you want it is extremely healthy. Another meat you can eat is lean ground turkey meat. Some people say steak is bad for you but it is only if you don’t buy a lean steak. It is going to be bad for you only if it is full of fat.

Why is it better to grill your food?

Here are my 3 reasons why it is better to grill your food. I always grill my food when it is possible. Reason number one there is no cleaning involved with the grill. You have to brush it and turn up the heat a little for 10 to 15 minutes. Reason number two is food taste better to me on the grill. Reason number three its a reason to get everyone together who doesn’t like a good cook out?

Meal Preparation for defined abs over 40

Cook all your meals at once for the next couple days. Put them in some containers and this way when its time to go you have your meals all ready to go. This will take some getting used to. Grab and go snakes are important as well. Stock up on high protein snakes. There is never an excuse not to eat healthily.
