The Importance of a Healthy Morning Ritual
I want you to write down your morning ritual. Do you have a morning ritual? Is your morning ritual helping you become the person you want to be? More than likely you have some kind of morning ritual and you might not even realize it. Every day you wake up brush your teeth, make a cup of coffee and read the news. If you do that every morning that is considered your morning ritual. Morning rituals are important and can help you learn how to get in shape
Did you know that almost every successful entrepreneurial has a morning ritual? Most successful entrepreneurial morning rituals involve exercise. Exercising in the morning is one of the best times to exercise. It gets your blood flowing, heart rate up, and gets you ready for the day. In my previous blog post, I write about “How to Start Getting into Shape after No Exercise.” In that post, I talk briefly about setting small obtainable goals. If you set a small obtainable goal of walking for 23 minutes a day you could easily work that into your morning ritual. Let’s take that piece of paper out that you wrote your morning ritual on earlier.
It’s time to start a new ritual or at least change yours slightly to include a little bit of exercise. Pencil in 5 to 10 minutes of exercise for the first week and slowly start to increase it. You will notice a huge change in yourself and in how you perceive the world around you. Listed below are a few things you will notice.
